Another year and a new start is just days away.
Three hundred sixty-five days to make life changes, start a new diet, set goals — or stay exactly as you are. A new year that some will pray is better and some will wonder how it could ever top the year before.
I’ve never been a big “new year, new you person.” The fact is I’m just stubborn enough that it takes more than just a date on a calendar for me to make changes. Now, book me a trip to Mexico and that might kick start a new exercise plan, but just another day after a probable headache probably won’t do the trick.
I always get a chuckle over all the New Year’s resolutions people set for themselves. Don’t get me wrong, if you are one of those people that can follow through then you have my respect. But if you are among the “all talk, no action” resolution setters like myself, I thought you could use a few laughs. Here are some of my favorite jokes I found on the subject. Enjoy, and Happy New Year!
• A New Year’s resolution is something that goes in one year and out the other.
• My New Year’s resolution is to get better at pretending to know the words to Auld Lang Syne.
• My New Year’s resolution is to stop hanging out with people who ask me about my New Year’s resolution.
