The ongoing construction of the new Pender Medical Clinic adjacent to Pender Community Hospital will require a brief closure of a portion of Industrial Road in Pender next week. A stretch of roadway connecting to Highway 9 will not be useable for several days starting on Monday, Sept. 21. This will require all traffic needing to reach the hospital to utilize Slaughter Avenue on the west side of Pender.
