Bridge on HWY 9 south of Pender will be down to 1 lane soon

Weather permitting, repairs on a bridge located one half mile south of Pender on Highway 9 will begin the week of July 17, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.


Brehmer will continue to help out Medicare patients at PCH

Medicare clients can be reassured knowing that Rita Brehmer will still be available for all of your Medicare and Part D enrollment needs at Pender Community Hospital.


Pender Times will close at noon on Friday

Due to coverage of the American Legion Seniors baseball at the Area tournament and a staff member’s vacation, the Pender Times office at 313 Main Street will be closed after noon on Friday.


Drought prompts emergency haying

As conditions deteriorate and drought expands across much of the Northern Plains, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is offering assistance to farmers and ranchers through numerous federal farm programs to ensure all viable program flexibilities are offered to producers.
